Kenny Quintero Bio.

 

Kenny Quintero Sosa Born in Puerto Rico on May 1st of 1967, and growing up in VEGA ALTA Puerto Rico Son of JUDITH SOSA MERCADO a local teacher and inspiration to his life as to many others in the community In the Barrio Bajuras. His father GERMAN QUINTERO an accountant to Fuentes Fluviales Puerto Rico. Kenny reached his goals to become songwriter, composer, and Bassist for his own Salsa band Orquesta Brava as he always dreamed at an early age. His father and grandfather both were Guitarist and his uncles loved the Cuatro Guitar a Puerto Rican String folk instrument. His grandmother was a songwriter and composer for Puerto Rican Legend Cuarteto Mayari. Kenny was also related to Placido Acevedo Sosa founder of cuarteto Mayari brother of his Grand Father Antonio Sosa. Kenny Quintero & Orquesta Brava consists of 12 musicians who perform Salsa, Merengue, Bolero, Cumbia and Latin Jazz professionally. Orquesta Brava performs for crowds as large as 25,000 people, and for National TV shows, featuring on most major events in Florida and internationally. Servicing all venues; Multi-Cultural events, Corporate, Festivals, Convention Centers, Receptions and private concerts. Singing for Orquesta Brava are Tito Sanchez (Ex-Vocalist for Macambila Band), German Ortiz, and Vikki Romero.These influences have fused and refined his Musical talent to excel among the Latin tropical industry with great acceptance. Kenny has recorded in many different musical productions with many legends such as popular Salsero Nino Segara, Flute Master Nestor Torres, Puertorican Salsero David Pabon, Bobby Cruz, Nacho Sababria, Edgardo Morales (Internationally known for his recording El Timbale with El Gran Combo). Another great influence on Kenny’s Productions is the work done by Bobby Cruz "El Rey De La Salsa" on vocals, among other great musicians like Robert Navarro on piano, Pedro Quinines, Luis Disla, Alex Zapata and many others. Kenny composed, wrote, and arranged all the music and productions for his Band Orquesta Brava as well as many other Tropical Artists. Original Albums Salsa Time, El Timbalero Del Pueblo, Soy Hijo De Un Pueblo Latino and Salsa Salvaje a total of 4 Productions with a fresh tone and strong Caribbean roots along the reflection of his musical back around and family influences have come together to create this awesome Music. The fourth Album titled “El Timbalero Del Pueblo” with the collaboration of BOBBy CRUZ, NINO SEGARRA, NACHO SANABRIA, VIKKI ROMERO, LEFTY PEREZ, MARCOS IBAÑEZ, RICHARD BRAVO, MARIO ORTIZ, AND MANY OTHER RECORDING ARTISTS. This Album will reflect the feelings of Kenny united with the Latin Music Fans and these classic Salseros on the departure of one of the most influential Puertorican Musicians of our times “Edgardo Morales” late Timbalero for  Gran Combo and many other Bands.
